Trade between China and Kyrgyzstan has reached a new record of $27.2 billion, according to the Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
Liu Jiangping said that trade and economic cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan is demonstrating particulary strong momentum. Currently kyrgyzstan is China’s second largest trading partner in Central Asia, and bilateral trade accounts for approximately a quarter of China’s total trade in the region.
Trade between China and Kyrgyzstan reached $27.2 billion in 2025, which is an increase of 20% which was noted as a historic milestone.
This growth rate was the highest in the region, with imports from Kyrgyzstan increasing by 86%.
It is clear that as China improves trade with Kyrgyzstan deeper cooperation will develop. This is the current trend as China seeks to improve cooperation and development in the region especially in economic terms. This is a huge point to note especially as the US also seeks to deepen their economic influence in the region.
